Messezentrum Salzburg – Soil-gas, Groundwater and Landfill Monitoring

Planning and Accompanying Environmental Technical Supervision at the Salzburg Messezentrum
Built in part over a prior landfill, the Salzburg Trade Fair buildings required technical measures to prohibit the migration of gas from the underground. Additionally, periodical soil-gas and groundwater samples were taken and analysed.
Services: Planning, supervision of the installation as well as ongoing functional controls of the liner (HDPE-sheets) and gas drainage (in part active degassing, in part
passive degassing) under the new buildings.
INTERGEO planned and supervised the installation of the entire degassing system under the newly erected buildings and performed the necessary risk assessment. Further, INTERGEO is responsible for the recurring controls (sampling and analysis). Additionally, INTERGEO performs local groundwater and soil-gas monitoring.
Parameters:
Soil-Gas: Methane, CO2, H2S, O2
Groundwater: Heavy metals, COD, HC, BETX, AOX
